Wabi-sabi and Shisso-kenyaku (simplicity, frugality, fragility) are applied to describing the elements of Japanese traditional design. They pursuit the extremely undecorative design, eventually it comes down to aptitude of material itself, which is well know fact of Japanese minimalism from ancient time.
There is “detail” on coercively flat design, and you might notice how dynamic it is behind the surface of design.
The quest for the figure that never ends, the figurative that is coercion but controlled, the inner energy that breaks counterpoise figure, these are expression of Japanese aesthetic senses with pure faith.
We proudly present new Japanese modern that follows traditional Japanese minimalism.
For our original Nishijin fabric design, we dare chose quiet, plane graduations instead of gorgeous and strong patterns. Such loud patterns will be in conflict with our characteristic products themselves. Like a tiny raindrops shining on the mossy rock, fablics for funiture and furniture for spaces also should be the ones that pruduce ‘Kehai’ - a fragile but sure sign.
